What if I don't consider myself outdoorsy or athletic, is Adventure Woof Pack right for me? 

Adventure Woof Pack is an introduction to the outdoors and adventure. We specialize in getting beginners started on their journey. You don't need to consider yourself outdoorsy or athletic to participate, you just need to have an interest in getting out and about with your dog.

  • Each of the tutorials will guide you through the skills you will need for that month's adventures.
  • The free All Trails app we recommend you use to plan your outdoor adventures will give you the option to select from easy, intermediate or difficult trails for your adventures - so you get to decide which outdoor trails work best for you. 
  • You can also ask for modifications or questions during your monthly ask me anything zoom sessions with the Adventure Woof Pack Founder, Jody Shaw.
  • We do advise you check with your doctor and your dog's vet if you have any questions about whether or not outdoor activities are right for you before you sign up. 

Can I sign up for the Northern or Southern Wanderlust Pass for 1 month? 

We don't recommend just signing up for one month, we have designed the Adventure Woof Pack Northern and Southern Wanderlust Pass training to build on all previous month's training throughout the year. For convenience each month we will auto-renew and charge your credit card on file on the 11th of each month. Please note you can cancel any time before the end of the month and your card will not be charged for the following month nor will it be charged going forward.

Can I sign my puppy up? 

Absolutely, we do have a Virtual Puppy Training subscription that is available in English or with Spanish closed captions.  

Please wait until your dog is at least 1 year old and has completed foundational puppy training before signing up for the Northern or Southern Wanderlust Pass. If puppies (under a year old) walk more than a mile at a time it can cause hip dysplasia later on in their life - and we want your pup to have a long healthy, happy and adventurous life! 

If your dog is older than 1 year you can also sign up for the Virtual Puppy Training subscription to get a refresher course on foundational dog training.

Can I sign my senior dog up?

Absolutely love senior dogs!  Please select our Senior Dog Series it will include gear recommendations, low-impact activities, nutrition tips, and more!

What is included in each month for the subscription?

Each month the Northern and Southern Wanderlust Pass will focus on a new outdoor adventure with video tutorials, packing lists, and resources for you and your pup. You will also receive access to a private virtual Paw-some Pack Discussion Board to connect with other adventure dog owners in your area, share photos, videos and stories. You will receive access to join the monthly ask the expert virtual session with the Adventure Woof Pack's Founder, Jody Shaw. That virtual session will be held on the last Saturday of each month.

The Virtual Puppy Training and the Senior Dog Series subscription will give you unlimited access 24 hours a day/7 days a week to the virtual content. In addition, you will receive access to the Paw-some Pack Discussion Board to share photos or videos of your puppy training with other puppy owners. You will receive access to join the monthly puppy training Ask The Expert virtual session with the Adventure Woof Pack's Founder, Jody Shaw. That virtual session will be held on the last Saturday of each month.

Why do I have to create an account? 

Adventure Woof Pack is a subscription service. Creating an account allows us to make sure you are getting the content that you signed up for and so you can always see the billing section. Once you have signed up you will be enrolled in our virtual training platform, when you get access to that confirmation email you can create a password for your participant dashboard to access the virtual content. We recommend making that page a favorite so you can get to it easily each month. Please note we also have an access link at the bottom of our homepage as well: Signed Up Already? I signed up but I haven't seen the email confirmation come through yet, what should I do? 

The first step is to check your spam filter since it might be in there based on your spam filter settings for your email. How long do I have access to the content each month?

For our Northern and Southern Wanderlust Pass each month will focus on a different introduction to the outdoors and the content is designed to build on the previous month's skills, and you will have access to the virtual content for that particular month and it will end the last day of that particular month. You can re-watch the content as many times as you would like on your desktop or mobile device until the end of that particular month. Once that month has passed you will have access to the new month's adventures and will not be able to access the previous month's content. Our recommendation is to subscribe as soon as possible so you get as much time to access the content as possible. 

For our virtual puppy training series you will have unlimited access to the virtual training content, resources, and community discussion board. We encourage you to rewatch the content each month to focus on a new aspect of training with your puppy.

  • Adventure Woof Pack will annually donate 1% of profits to the American Trails to help support the maintenance of trails across the United States, help fund outdoor projects and research, and training for new trail stewards. Throughout the year we encourage everyone to enjoy the trail systems across the country and those trails would not be possible without community contributions. 
  • In addition, Adventure Woof Pack will annually donate 1% of profits to the Humane Society of the US. The donations help support animal shelters across the United States with funds that help house, feed, animals that need help.
  • When we source products we prioritize working with minority-owned businesses, with an emphasis on re-usable products. That means throughout our supply chain and down to the cardboard that we use for shipping our packs we believe in creating positive change in the world. 

Can I get a subscription as a gift for someone?

Absolutely! When you enter "purchase a gift card" we will send you a virtual gift card that you can forward to your friends or family which will zero out the balance for Adventure Woof Pack subscriptions. They will then have access to the virtual content, the community discussion board, and monthly zoom ask the expert sessions. 

Can I get a refund? 

We know things change, to that end, you can cancel at any point before the end of the month and your card will not be charged on the renewal day which is the 11th of the next month. 

Gift Card Questions:

Can a gift card be used more than once?

Yes, a gift card can be used multiple times as long as the gift card still has funds on it.

Can I check my gift card balance?

Yes, you can check your card balance on your account page.

What can the gift card be used for?

It can cover the cost of taxes, merchandise, or be used to pay for multiple month's subscriptions. If you have a gift card and an existing subscription your renewal will use whatever balance is left on their card to pay for the renewal first and will use your credit card second.

Can I send the gift card to the gift receiver in an email?

Yes, the person who buys the gift card will receive an email with the gift card information that they can use to forward to their gift receiver or print out if they wish to do so.

If an order can be marked as a gift and purchasers can enter recipient information. At this time, the recipient's e-mail address and an included message are not used for the purchase, and the gift card is still mailed to the gift card purchaser.

Why is a credit card required when using a gift card?

When redeeming a gift card, a credit card is required. The reason why is that with a subscription, you would likely use the balance of the gift card and then the subscription would renew without any other payment method on file and then fail. If the purchase can be covered by the full gift card value then the credit card won't be charged. If it cannot, then the credit card is charged for the difference.  Even if a subscription is purchased with a 100% off coupon, a credit card is still required.
